I’ve spent the last 8+ years as an SEO writer and editor; most of it freelancing for ONMEDIA, plus a recent stint writing about automotive and tech for Slashgear. Now, I’ve stepped into a new role as Content Lead & Tech SEO Associate.
I still own the content side—writing the briefs, shaping the strategy, some editing here and there—but I’m also getting deeper into the technical weeds. I support audits, tackle technical tasks, and assist with webinar content and promotion. Basically, I’m taking everything I know about what makes content rank and learning the backend mechanics that make it all work.
It’s a new role, so I’m very much in “apprentice mode” on the techical SEO side, but I bring eight years of SEO instincts to the table. We move fast, and I’m here for all of it.

I wrote for Slashgear, which is part of the Static Media family. If you know anything about Static, you know they don't mess around when it comes to editorial standards. The bar is high. Every piece needs to be tight, accurate, and move fast without sacrificing quality. It sharpened me as a writer, plain and simple.
My beat was automotive and tech, but I wasn't just writing tech stories and features or comparing engines. I got to write expert-level pieces that actually pulled from my background in fleet maintenance and management. So when I wrote about a new vehicle platform or emerging tech, I wasn't guessing. I knew what I was talking about because I'd been in the shops, worked the fleets, and understood the real-world mechanics behind the headlines.
It was the kind of role where you had to deliver clean copy fast, but you also had the space to bring genuine expertise to the table. I'm proud of the work I did there.

Since 2020, I’ve been part of the team at ONMEDIA, helping build out SEO-driven content across several digital brands. I wear a few hats here—writing long-form blog posts, editing articles from other writers, shaping content briefs, and doing the occasional keyword deep dive.
A lot of the pieces I’ve worked on have ended up ranking on Google’s first page, and more importantly, bringing in consistent traffic. I’m always focused on writing helpful content that's clear and built to perform—without sounding like it’s written for robots.

Since 2017, I’ve been writing SEO content that actually shows up on Google—and gets clicks. I’ve worked with a wide range of clients, from real estate startups and HR tech platforms to SaaS companies and legal services. Most of the time, I’m ghostwriting, but the goal’s always the same: create content that’s useful, fun to read, and optimized to rank.

- Another piece on part-time jobs for SDSU students climbed to #4—written for a student housing client.
- A blog post on data visualization in HR landed at #3 for the keyword “data visualization in HR.”
- I’ve also written articles for DoNotPay—many of which made it to page one of Google.
To get results like that, I rely on tools like Surfer SEO and Frase.io, but I always make sure the writing feels natural—never forced. On a good day, I can hit 95%+ Surfer scores, just by weaving in the right keywords with a light touch.
